Jakarta (ANTARA) – Sail Tidore 2022 is an effort to maintain the economy, especially in the Eastern Indonesian region, so that it remains stable, Minister of Trade, Zulkifli Hasan, said in Maluku on Saturday.

“We hope that the success of the Sail Tidore 2022 activity can become a stepping stone to boost economic growth and accelerate development in North Maluku,” he added.

Sail Tidore could be a turning point for national economic recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic and the global crisis, he added.

Hence, the Trade Ministry is trying to promote Tidore’s potential to investors and tourists, he said.

At least 32 ministries and agencies, with cooperation from state-owned enterprises and private businesses, have worked together for the success of the Sail Tidore 2022 event, he added.

“We have carried out various programs, including infrastructure improvements, community empowerment in the tourism industry, counseling and assistance to small industries, product promotion, business forums, health services, and improvement of tree vegetation so that access and the environment are better,” he informed.
