“This is the right momentum for young leaders in NTB, especially those who have a role in the digital industry so that they can learn a lot from the young global leaders about digital transformation,” he said during the Y20 Pre-summit entitled Digital Transformation, held in the Senggigi Tourism Area, West Lombok.
Currently, digital technology has both positive and negative impacts, he said in a statement that ANTARA received here Sunday.
However, he assured that the positive impact of digital technology could minimize its negative side.
“Technology is like a sword with two blades. Of course, we will get many benefits. However, it cannot be separated from being used for negative purposes. Apart from this, I believe that education will minimize the negative impact of digital technology,” he said.
Y20 Indonesia 2022 Co-chair Michael Victor Sianipar said that NTB will receive many positive impacts from this activity, especially youth leaders in province.
“We will take the results of the discussions and inputs with friends in NTB to the Y20 Summit in Jakarta and Bandung. We will then make a document in the form of a youth declaration that we will give directly to Mr.President,” he said.
According to him, the youth declaration will be fought to become policies and recommendations in the declarations of world leaders at the G20 Summit.
“So, we will take insights from young people at the national level and the world level,” he said
The G20 is an international forum that focuses on policy coordination in the economic and development fields. For the first time, Indonesia holds the G20 Presidency, the forum for cooperation in 20 major economies in the world.
Youth 20 (Y20) is a forum for future young leaders from all G20 member countries to discuss, argue and exchange ideas to reach a common agreement regarding the agenda of the G20 Presidency.
There are four issues discussed at the Y20 Indonesia Summit, namely youth employment, digital transformation, a sustainable and livable planet and diversity and inclusion.
NTB hosted Y20 Pre-summit on the issue of digital transformation.
